I would have to agree that Lucas is not so easily forgettable. I like how this story started out a few months after Lucas had returned. The way the story went is that Lucas and Naomi had a few run ins with each other in town but their first real close encounter was when Naomi almost ran Lucas over. A totally innocent accident. Additionally, this is where I get to meet Gracie, Naomi's daughter. She is such a sweetheart and so smart. She kind of stole some of the spotlight away from Lucas and Naomi. Although, I am not complaining. Gracie was the comedic relief.

Back to Lucas and Naomi. It was easy to see where Gracie got her strength from as Naomi could fend for herself. Yet, when it came to Lucas, she got weak in the knees. They did not show more share a lot of moments with each other but the ones that they did have were steamy. A happy ending for sure. Comeback Cowboy roped me in for a good time. I can't wait to read Levi and Cassidy's story next. show less
Having spent a great deal of time in Texas, I can attest to the fact there is something innately sexy and romantic about a good old fashioned cowboy which Sara Richardson managed to capture perfectly.

If you are looking for a decent story of love and romance all wrapped up in that small town kind of charm which only seems to exist on the Hallmark Channel then you have found the right book. Richardson, whether because she has personal experience or just watches a lot of Hallmark movies, created a surprisingly well-written and realistic story that will give you some pleasant day dreams.

You’ll love her humor, the characters that pop up to make this story flow into an enjoyable novel, the bit of intrigue, the strength in her female show more character, her ideas on second chances in love and her theme of family. It all wraps into the perfect ending so you’ll definitely want to buy the next. show less
Comeback Cowboy is a sweet second chance romance story. I liked that the author didn't always choose the obvious direction with things--we find out pretty quickly who's the father of her ten-year-old daughter instead of dragging out the drama and suspense, for example, and even though it did sometimes look like one of the main characters was going to make a run for it in the other's "best interest" they had adult conversations about what was going on instead and made decisions together. What a novel idea! ;)

Though some of the outcomes here almost seemed to come too easily, this is a sweet story with likable characters who really do deserve their HEA, even if the worst trials happened before the book even began...it's not worth getting show more worked up about it; just go with the easy-reading flow and you'll be glad you did.

Although it's the second in the series, this book worked just fine as a standalone. The hero and heroine from book one appear quite a bit--Lance is Lucas's brother, and Jessa is Naomi's good friend--so I've already added book one (Hometown Cowboy ) to my TBR. It looks like the youngest brother, Levi, will have the next book ( Renegade Cowboy ) so I might as well add that one too, while I'm at it :)

Naomi Sullivan has learned a few lessons in her life. Never trust a cowboy to stay and never willingly give your heart away. Lessons learned courtesy of Lucas Cortez. All loving him got her was a bunch of heartache and a ton of responsibilities. Her pride and her daughter are all that she needs. When her biggest heartache walks back into her life, can she endure the emotions he resurrects and hold tight to the secret she keeps? Ms. Richardson creates the stories she's best known for. Second chance romances. Comeback Cowboy is teasing, tempting and smothered with an emotion that Sara Richardson excels at. LOVE!
