Explains that sometimes many things are not as good as having a few really nice things. Simon believes that more things will make him happier, but in the end he realizes his home has become cluttered and he is no longer happy, so he gets rid of everything except what he originally had and is happy once again.
Simon was a fiddler and to him there's no such thing as too much. Simon loved collecting things and one day realized because he no more room in his cottage that he had to many things. Through this experience he learns what really will make him happy and its not things.
