As morning sun rises, all the animals on the farm are slowly coming to life. The horse is racing in the breeze, the cow is in a terrible mood, and everyone but the scarecrow is making a noise. The pigs are rolling in mud, the dog goes back to sleep, and the cat stalks his breakfast. The cat sees a mouse on the scarecrow, and the scared little mouse hides in him. “There’s a mouse in my pants,” the scarecrow screams. He jumps forward and backwards until the mouse flew out of him. The animals tell him, “Scarecrow, you scared us. We thought you were dead!” Scarecrow replies, “What’s for breakfast?” Fun illustrations allow readers to laugh along with all the mayhem unfolding. An easy and humorous book for students to let show more loose while reading. show less

Nothing at All is a story about animals on a farm who all wake up in the morning and have to say something- except for the scarecrow. It never says anything until one day when it has a mouse in his pants, everyone is very surprised because they thought that the scarecrow was dead. This is a funny and nice illustrated story, I am sure it's a lot of fun for children if you read the book to them because you can imitate the animal sounds and they can guess on each page if or what the scarecrow will say. I also liked the fact that parts of the text are rhyming.
