I did not enjoy this one as much as Field of Peas, the first book in the series. In book 1, I fell in love with Mae, but did not feel as drawn to her little sister Trudy. I don't think the author gave us as much of Trudy's inner self as she did Mae, if that makes sense.

However, I did love the story and continue to enjoy Lake Emily.

sanctimonious drivel. I hated this book and felt betrayed while reading it as nowhere on the outside of the book does it say that it is extreme christian trash.
