Rorey's Secret

My emotions were all over the place during this story. I was so mad at one of the characters that I had to close the book and calm myself down. This was a great start to the next series (Country Road Chronicles) which continues the saga of the Wortham and Hammond families. This series picks up 6 years later where the previous series leaves off. Sometimes when an author continues on with a series the stories can grow weaker, but I must say that is not happening with this author. Each story leaves me wanting more. I highly recommend reading these stories in the series and order they were written. You won't be disappointed.

Is is the depression era on these Illinois farms that the Worthams and Hammonds continue to work together. A fire will show more break out one night at the Hammonds and it will attempt to destroy their farm. This will be a story of this tragedy and how each family and its members try to overcome the loss, the misplaced blame and the secret that will finally come to light.
