I love the characters. Aunt Tillie and Thistle are being my favorites. Clove is like the nicest of the cousins and Bay is very likable. I wish, there would be more interaction from the Moms, they are on the sidelines, sadly. Quirky family, fun reads and i love the series with one exception:
Landon and Bay's interaction. I wish the author would lay off the "schmaltzy" undertones, Bay needs to grow up and stop acting like a teenager when it comes to Landon, and Landon is a professional. Dont get me wrong, their interactions are mostly cute but it was really grating on my gears in this book. I caught myself skimming through those pages, and barely reading them. Because of that annoyance, i rated it 3***
Unfortunately, the first 10-11 chapters were almost unbearable to read, hence the barely 3 rating. After that, it started to pick up and I mostly enjoyed it...but 10 chapters...yeah, that really killed the rating for me. Sorry.

After more thought, I had to drop it down to a 2. There was too much whining on Bay's part, and then Landon's constant groveling, etc. I'm still sticking with the series, but this one is a complete dud.
More of the Winchester witches and FBI agent Landon Michaels. The Winchester family with Landon and Police Chief Terry of Hemlock Cove investigate why Bay Winchester is being framed for murder.
Slightly schmaltzy, easy read that is entertaining for a rainy day.
