Pretty good. Still the double low-esteem thing, but some interesting variations - Jack's past, Anya's bond with Shell and her recent past... She was extremely stupid to run into danger that way. Worse than the others - it's a good thing there's now a whole squad of Watchers to try to keep this silly lot out of trouble. And the situation as a whole is developing - I'm interested to read the later ones in the series. She's good.
Rereading, in order - I like Jack, despite his obsession with his guilt. But Anya is still extremely stupid - a really bad combination of I-am-not-worthy and "I must save everyone" - "I'll walk into an obvious trap, all by myself, because that will make everything better!". Sheesh.
