The gang are off to college...and other places, and a lot of the storylines are wrapped up. Nate finally makes an actual decision! After maybe, possibly, suffering some actual consequences.
I was really not impressed with the whole Dan-might-be-gay subplot. It was really great how supportive his parents were of his "choice," but it was pretty obvious all along that Dan was not actually gay. What would have been a lot more interesting is more information about Chuck's transformation from a lecherous creep to a quirky monkey-daddy, to eventual self-realization and relationship with Greg. That might make for something more interesting than the drinking, shopping and bed-hopping that is the cornerstone of this series. I think the intended show more audience can handle it.
Despite this, though, the series is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Although at times interesting, Don’t You Forget About Me, features scenes in which the characters are oblivious to things that are clear to the reader. Also unless you have read the previous books, some of the characters first initials are unknown. That being said, the other characters, whom the story is actual about are faced with an interesting storyline that is relatable.
I'm glad I read this after I started college, rather than during the summer. If I had, it would have made me more depressed and afraid of starting anew, as these characters went through the same thing.

The ending was great, just let me say. Don't want to spoil anything, but one character made a GREAT decision.
I love this book. I was not happy with how it ended. I think that Nate needs to make up his mind on which of the girls he likes. I hate to say it but I am glad that there are going to be new people in this series.
Another okay gossip girl book. I liked this one better than the last one that I read because it tied the characters together more and finished up some loose ends. The character's summer is about to close in this book and they are all getting ready to head off to college and start their own lives and adventures. A fast, fun, quick read!

As expected of this amazing author, DON'T YOU FORGET ABOUT ME didn't disappoint for the 11th book in our favorite series about our favorite New York rich kids!

Blair and Nate finally come back from their month out on the ocean. Nate knew that what he did wasn't so smart, so he avoided going home for as long as possible. But did you really think that he was going to get in a whole lot of trouble? I mean, come on, it's Nate!

Blair is crazy in love with Nate and getting ready to go to college. She gets ready by going shopping for dorm room stuff and going to the Roman-themed party that her mother threw her to say good-bye.

Serena is going to "Breakfast At Fred" parties and just being her show more star-studded self. How is she going to handle all of the autograph hounds?

Dan -- gay or straight is the question. Vanessa is only making that decision harder!

Ruby, Vanessa's crazy sister, is getting married to that Eurotrash loser that she has been going out with! Let's see how Vanessa handles that!

This is another great addition to this fun, crazy series! A definite poolside must-read for this summer!

This book is pretty good becaus, it has up's and down's in it. Its's funny yet, sad, and little cocky. One minute this book will have you laughing and the next it will have you guessing or surprized.
