A fairly light-hearted, crime novel about the seedy side of sport and the long reaching effects of steroids. ( )

A good Cliff Hardy read. Language, as always 'ripe', however, I fits the characters and settings of the stories on most occasions. If you are a Peter Corris fan you will enjoy his Australian, Cliff Hardy novels. If not, or you are offended by some adjectives in the English language, then stay away. Personally, while I thought, at times, the language was over done, I have worked with plenty of blokes who would not be out of place in a Cliff Hardy novel. ( )

Peter Corris has produced another easy listening Cliff Hardy novel...good guys, bad guys, a plot that keeps moving and involves drugs and racism.

Mention must also be made of Peter Hosking who does an excellent job of narrating the Cliff Hardy series.
