Defiant Queen (Mount Trilogy, #2)

I want the trilogy to end because these cliffhangers are annoying. How could anyone expect me to wait for the third book after everything that happened in this one? The plot's development was different than the one I expected, but I can't say I minded. I enjoyed the book a lot and I cannot wait for the final book to be released. We have to find out how the characters will react and how things will change. This time the story alternates between Keira and Mount's point of view and I loved that. I got a better understanding of both characters and I can say that this trilogy is evolving and is getting better. I still have 100 questions about the characters and I want to see how Keira and Mount will get their happy ending. Should I not show more assume that? I don't know what to expect anymore. I gotta to say though that Mount managed to win a spot in my heart and I want to see Keira bringing him down to his knees. I want to see him getting softer. I liked Keira more in this book too. She is the same woman he met in the first book, but she has toned down some parts of her attitude and everything is perfect. I don't think they will be in the first book because I have a feeling something big will come. Too many things have to happen in the next book and Defiant queen is here to warm us up. This book continues to keep my eyes riveted to each and ever page. This author is a master story teller. Lachlan Mount is one sexy beast. And Keira is one stubborn and feisty female. The author does an exceptional job in characterization. I can vividly see in every nuance who they are as people aven down to their voices. Amazing.

I cannot wait to see how this concludes.

I'm glad I stuck with this series after I didn't love the first book. This one gives more of a backstory and it just adds another layer to the story. It's still a bit weird and I think (and hope) a bit unlikely in real life.. but it fits the story so I can get past that.

Now.. I'm on my way to see if the last book has gone live yet.
