The blurb made the book sound very promising and I was very excited to read it, but the so-called hero ruined everything. I was willing to put aside the cockiness and the way he treated Stella in the beginning, but the second half of the book was a string of "Is Stella supposed to fall in love with that douche" events that ruined my mood. I don't know why Stella kept accepting his behavior. She did her best to be there for him and he was acting like a jerk and I wasn't ok with it. I am not saying that Stella was the best heroine or something like that, but she was better than him and even if she was uptight she was more easy to relate to.

The story is overstuffed while we could just have Stella and Dane trying to work everything out and show more caring for their baby. Instead, the story was focused on a few other stuff which weren't necessary if you ask me. To be fair the book had some good parts which are the reason my rating isn't lower, like some humor. show less
I loved the whole idea of the book, it’s slow burn romance and some swoon worthy moments. I especially enjoyed the fact that Stella and Dane develop a good friendship and mutual trust before they fall in love or move onto a sexual relationship. But there was just something missing for me. I couldn’t connect with the characters a lot. It’s still an enjoyable read when in need of a light breezy romance.
What a sweet sassy blow burn of a romance! Talk about oil and water. These two shouldn't work, but somehow they do. it took me a while to warm up to Stella, she was so uptight it made it hard to enjoy her character, but I soon warmed up to her. This was well written, and the characters kept me flipping the pages. Told in dual pov.
Okay, so 'Baby Maker' is the first book that I have read by P. Dangelico. And it was a very pleasant surprise for me to become so engaged in a book from the first few pages. Stella and Dane are complete polar opposites as people and their personalities go. But they have something in common. Both want a child without the ties of marriage. So in this context, the title is pretty self-explanatory.

The path to achieving their goal is the highlight of this book. Dane's pursuit of Stella, to take a chance on him and the way they eventually get under each other's skin is a great adventure of laughs and romantic moments.

I was so impressed by this author's writing that I went and downloaded as many books of hers that I could get my hands on.

I liked this much more than I thought I would. I could've even given it 5 stars had there not been some things... like the very ending... I liked how it wasn't that traditional, and yet in the end that's where it went. But I did enjoy the ride and I did like how they got to know each other. And that's why they fell in love. Might've been better had I just not read a Lucy Parker...
I wasn't keen on the main character, he is such a serial dater, not dating anyone for longer than 3 months. I didn't like his attitude, the fact that he's proud of it. The heroine is a match for him and she talks straight to him, not falling for his charm.
But I didn't like him, it put me off the story.
