Description

Raven Black returns in another heart-pounding installment of the USA Today bestselling Crossbreed series. Vampire trafficking is a sinister business, and nobody knows that better than Keystone. After Raven discovers hidden clues in a cold case, the group sets a trap in hopes of catching an elusive criminal. But when the plan backfires, Raven's world is thrown into chaos, and Christian's loyalty is put to the ultimate test. Buried secrets come to light, and the only thing keeping Raven show more grounded is her insatiable thirst for vengeance. The stakes are high as they travel to a place where the landscapes are as treacherous as the immortals who live there. This time, there's no room for mistakes. Will Raven have the courage to tame the violence in her heart before it swallows her whole? show less

Ive enjoyed every single book of the Crossbreed series so far. Honestly, I’ve never read a book by Dannika Dark that I didn’t like. But Gaslight was on a whole new level. The plot revealed not only Dark’s exceptional novel writing skills, but how talented she is at writing in a series format.
Generally speaking, my interest in her novels tends to be linked to the immediate connection that she shapes between the characters and the reader. And while my love for the members of Keystone has certainly motivated me to continue with the series, this particular instalment really emphasised to me how much Dark’s writing has evolved since some of her earlier pieces. It’s evident that she’s written with the full series in mind, or show more perhaps has revisited a completed series (or at least complete to our current place in the overarching plot) in order to allow for certain plot twists at play in Gaslight.

I cannot recommend this series highly enough, and I now begin my desperate wait for the following instalment!
