I think I've figured out my problem with Diana Palmer books. The scenarios always sound so good so that I get sucked in. Here for example I totally love a story line of an older man who fell in love with a young girl but has to wait for her to grow up. But then DP fails in execution. Here both the hero and the heroine make huge assumptions about the feelings and actions of the other. But no one ever steps up to the plate and says anything. How alpha can a guy really be if he can't even tell some girl he loves, "you're mine and you're staying here with me." I mean grow a pair. The worst she can do is say no I'm not and leave anyway. At least you'll have tried. Also both of these two had people telling them that the other was crazy in show more love with them but both were like 'no you're wrong' without any real reason. So he has always said he was not going to marry. Might he have been throwing up an excuse while he waited for her to grow up?
And here as in many DP books the virginity worship was OTT. She was a virgin of course. And although there is some question, I don't believe he was a virgin but he was inexperienced. But I had to roll my eyes when he told her he had never undressed in front of a woman before. show less

Montana was home - and the only place for Abby Shane to run when a brutal attack leaves her shaken and fearful of men. But coming home has its own hazards, most of them in the form of rancher Cade McLaren. Abby left Montana to get away from him once - but will this pair of star-crossed lovers ever get beyond the misunderstandings to the heart of the matter?
Very unimpressed with the reader--OMG would have preferred a female reader--
Then the damn main female--what a whiney wimpy PIA, I couldn't stand her UGH!!!
