Explicit!
A group of macho men have formed a company called Thrillseekers Anonymous. They take rich-and-famous clients on extreme sporting adventures. But now they've been hired to put on a wedding, ultra-secret, on top of an isolated mountain by two very spoilt movie stars. The man put in charge of this project just got jilted, and so has sworn off women. Enter a perky, spunky, romantically bent wedding planner. (They are our hero and heroine.) The happenings around the planning of the wedding seemed quite hilarious. Then a storm hits after the group has "gone up the mountain", and the groom, bride, wedding planner, and Thrillseeker guy get trapped away from civilization. The wedding devolves into an episode of Survivor, complete with show more contests. After they get off the mountain, the guy overcomes his fear and eventually pursues the wedding planner.
Anyway, it seemed like a good contemporary romance with a lot of humour and an interesting plot/premise. The wordplay and personality clashing was fun. I would recommend the title one-on-one if I knew the patron wouldn't mind the explicit-ness. So I thought I'd mention the author and series to y'all. All the reviews I read were good too, and she seems to always have a lot of humour. show less

I so enjoyed this book. You gotta spend an afternoon or three (there are three books in the series) with the Thrillseekers Anonymous a members-only adventure service. After I read this book I had to get the other two.
When a pair of A-list movie stars decides to combine a wedding with an extreme sport outing, ex-stuntman Eli McCain isn’t too happy. One of the Thrillseekers Anonymous founders, he was jilted at the alter a year ago—and he has no interest in hearing wedding bells. Unfortunately, hes’ been outvoted, and now there’s a crazy wedding to stage with a bridezilla from hell.
In comes wedding planner Marnie Banks to save the day—and, she hopes, make some romantic connections with Hollywood’s jet set. Only one problem show more stands in her way: Eli McCain, who may look like a movie star, but has no appreciation for the finer things in life. show less

This is one of those books you almost hate to admit you read...much less that you liked it. Every bit of it was bury your face in your hands, laugh until you snort funny. I read it twice in a row and have no doubt that the next time I'm in dire need of a laugh I will be opening it again. From the book club meetings without books to the $20K wedding gown stuck in a tree the story doesn't disappoint. "Survivor" is exactly ight for this wedding.
Have I already mentioned how much I love Julia London's writing? The heroine's a wedding planner, though she's never actually planned a wedding on her own. Dot com casualty, she's living with her parents. Hired by Thrillseekers Anonymous to plan the wedding of two big Hollywood stars in a remote mountain area. Funny, poignant, great characters.
Really enjoyed this one. So very hilarious moments and a completely entertaining story.
decent romance, but pretty lame modern romance about Marnie - a wedding planner and Eli who is one of a bunch of guys who is part of Thrill Seekers Anonymous
