The book was about going to sleep and blinking. The book tries to tell the reader not to blink, but it is impossible! It gives great annotations and illustrations. The book has a picture that moves when you stare at it. I loved it; the picture actually moves!! It is really an interactive book. The book was trying to explain how to go to sleep. The book eventually goes to tell the only way to go to sleep is to close your eyes, but once morning comes the blinking begins! Blinking is undeniable and unstoppable, which is so true blinking is impossible to stop unless you are sleeping. I loved this book! I think that this is a good book to read to children in school, and at home. The illustrations are so cute and I think that helps keeps the children's attention, along with the different ways not to blink. I will defiantly read this book to my future students and keep this book in mind for my own children. Apparently this was just the week of great books for me! I loved this read! It's an interactive book and will definitely keep the children engaged during a read-aloud. I love that it's funny and would prompt the children to react! Already recommended it to another colleague that I share a class with! no reviews | add a review

"Don't Blink" is SUCH fun, but all interactive books are in my opinion. It is a great bedtime read--and good luck trying to not blink yourself. Because you will. Every time I read this book, I do. Every. Single. Time.
There are fun optical illusions in the book that engage the older reader. The illustrations are delightful in their vibrancy and animation. Honestly, this is a great book. ( )
