I found "Everything to Gain", by Barbara Taylor Bradford to be an okay read. There was too much detail throughout. This took away from the storyline and caused the novel to be tedious at times. As mentioned by others, the reader had to literally read half of this novel to find out the tragedy that befell Mallory Keswick. She was also not one of the more likeable characters. This also added to the novel dragging on at times.
I believe that this novel could have been something special, if it weren't for the extensive details throughout.

The story opens with Mallory, clearly deeply scarred by something that happened years previously. The book flashes back to the start of her marriage, and the last chapters return to the period of the prologue. Gripping and realistic.
Another saga novel from this famous author.
A modern story of a modern tragedy. Mallory Keswick's world is shattered when she loses both her husband and her children. Pulling herself together, she becomes a successful business woman, although the grief of her past is always with her. Then she meets Richard Markson, who gives her hope.

Mallory had the wonderful husband, twins and her wonderful dog, all killed by a gang on their way home. She moped around like she was the only one effected; yet his mother was alive and grieving as well. Her mother also lost so much, the grandkids, as well as did Mallory's father. She built a business on the large property she owned and finally after 4-5 years decided to marry (if he would understand that she was "fragile"). P L E A S E!
Mallory possède tout ce qu'une femme peut désirer et souhaiter: beauté, richesse un mari qu'elle adore et deux charmants jumeaux...mais le destin..
