Good, although the social worker probably wasn't behaving ethically. Rachel made tracks to leave her hometown and her abusive father after high school, taking up social work to help other abused kids. When a co-worker leaves, she inherits the case that involves her high school love, now widowed with a rebellious preteen daughter. She breaks all kinds of rules to take the case and try to keep the family together, while falling in love with the Dad once again.
