A fun, spirited Western historical romance is in store between the covers of Julie Lessman’s latest release, Love’s Silver Lining. With possibly the most stubborn cast of characters I’ve encountered, it’s a battle of wits, egos, and hearts that’s sure to delight, entertain, and inspire.

The story centers around two couples—Maggie Mullaney and Blaze Donovan, Libby O’Shea and Finn McShane—as they navigate hilarious meetings, uncomfortable circumstances, and unexpected feelings in a Nevada town. With passion checked by faithful standards, these characters clash and connect, tempestuous ups and downs sparked by every interaction. While, at times, the words and actions of the male characters border on manipulative, the show more relationship development feels authentic to the time period, and by the end, the character growth proves to be oh so heartwarming.

So, if you’re looking for an enjoyable romance to read, check out Love’s Silver Lining—I really enjoyed the fun and sweetness of it. It definitely left me eager to read more of these characters, so while I wait for the next Silver Lining Ranch book, I’m planning to read the prequel novella, For Love of Liberty, soon.
