I don't know what to say about this book other than that I loved it. Thorn is easily one of the best heroes I could read about and I want someone like him. Can I have a Thorn to hold on for the rest of my life? He is an alpha male without coming close to crossing the a-hole line. He was so protective of Ari and fierce. The only thing I can guarantee you is that you will fall for him and you will find your new book boyfriend. Ari is a good person and I liked her. She carries a lot of baggage, but as the story goes on she blossoms to a great person who is slowly letting go of her past. I loved her friend Piper and her two cats too. I can't wait for Wilder's story which is next and the story of Thorn's unnamed friend who might have show more something going on with the lady is protecting. Unfortunately, due to the spoiler-y nature of the previous sentence, I cannot reveal the names of the ladies, but I will say that both of them were great and both of them had stories that broke my heart. The book had a few twists that I didn't see coming an neither will you. I thought I knew what was going on but I was so wrong. The bonus epilogue was one of the best parts of the story, second to Thorn. One thing that has been stuck in my mind is that this book is one of the best I have read so far and I would love to give it a nomination for my top books of 2018. show less
Unexpected
I love it when I find a book that completely comes out of left field and leaves me gobsmacked. I thought I had this figured out. I was wrong. There were so many beautiful moments between Ari and Thorne. Fantastic moments of reflection, secondary characters that I'm looking forward to seeing more of, growth in the main characters, and proof that love is unconditional and healing.
The bonus epilogue at the end of this was even better. Highly recommend this book.

I loved everything about this book. It was a breathtaking tale of two wounded souls finding each other to heal. There is mystery, suspense, love, lust, healing, anst, funny times(Piper is a hot mess) and there are some sizzling sexy times. This story is well written, and so enjoyable, I was sad when it ended, I cannot wait to read more of this series as they come out. Told in dual POV
