Mia Ayumi Malhotra is a fourth-generation Japanese American poet and the recipient of fellowships from Kundiman and the VONA/Voices Writing Workshop. She holds a BA from Stanford University and an MFA from the University of Washington, and her poems have appeared in numerous literary journals and anthologies, including Indiana Review, The show more Greensboro Review, Best New Poets, and DISMANTLE: An Anthology of Writing from the VONA/Voices Writing Workshop. She was raised in Laos and Thailand and currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. show less
