Jason Law is a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter. He had left the sleepy town of Quiet Valley to follow his dream. Now he returned home just before Christmas to finish his unfinished business. He wanted to meet his Girl Friend Faith and find out why she did not wait for him.

What he saw was a surprise to him - Faith with a daughter and a husband who had left. Jason tries to win Faith back but Faith says he was always too good for her.

This quick-read novella, although predictable, is a sweet read that reminds readers that there are still miracles to find and life is always full of surprises.

This a romantic story of the one who got away, or rather, went away... but now has returned.
