I Love My Colorful Nails (Egalité)

Ben loves painting his fingernails with his friend Margarita, but some boys at school start to make fun of him and call him a girl. At home, Ben's dad paints his nails, but the teasing continues - until Ben's birthday, when EVERYONE in the class comes in with painted fingernails, and Margarita gives Ben a bottle of sky blue nail polish as a present. (Whatever conversation happened with the boys who were teasing took place off-stage, as it were.)

I enjoyed this story. I think the book does a good job of supporting the idea of being yourself and expressing yourself despite what others may think.
