I’ve spent three books and a novella with the St. John clan and looked forward to finally getting to learn more about Linc. And oh, boy, did Lynette Eason take me on a white-knuckle roller coaster of a ride.
Allie and Linc are great partners. They trust each other with their lives and are willing to face difficult things head on to protect each other. Even better, they’re friends.
While I figured out who was the cause of all Allie and Linc’s troubles early on, Eason still managed to throw a few surprises my way. And, of course, some of those St. John siblings jump in as back up. This is truly a family that serves and protects. More so when it’s one of their own in need.
True to Eason’s style, Vow of Justice weighs heavier on the show more action and suspense than the romance. But even that works well for Allie and Linc because of their history and friendship. It’s a love that’s built between them naturally and can weather the truths that change Linc’s knowledge of Allie’s identity.

It is no secret that I enjoy reading suspense novels. This author is always one of my go to authors when wanting a book filled with intrigue. She writes characters that pop off the page with realism. I have been waiting for this book and couldn't wait to dive in.
When someone has done something wrong to us, we think for a moment how sweet it would be to get revenge. Of course we don't take action. In this fast paced story we find Special Agent Linc against the wall when he loses his partner. You can feel his anger and disbelief that someone was able to kill his partner.
I loved how Allie's past becomes the center of the story and the secrets that unravel as time goes on. There is more to Allie than Linc knew. Her secrets start to pile up show more and leaves Linc wondering if he really ever knew her. The plot is exceptional and intense with revenge as a real possibility for one of the characters.
Allie is in deep with undercover work and needs help to find her way to the truth. Her journey is one that is hard at times as she has to accept that it is not her place to take action against someone. Can Linc and Allie find a way to work together? The story is a roller coaster ride as we read how revenge can take over if they aren't grounded in faith. It is a wonderful story that I loved reading and was filled with many surprises.
I received a copy of this book from the Early Reviewers Program of LibraryThing. The review is my own opinion. show less

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.Vow of Justice is the final full length novel in Lynette Eason’s “Blue Justice” series, which follows the exploits of the crime fighting St. John siblings. This story focuses on Linc St. John, an agent with the FBI.
Linc and Allison have been working together, and forming a tentative romantic bond. But Allison has secrets, that literally blow up in her face as she attempts to take down a Russian mobster with ties to her past. The suspense is nail-biting, as there are murderous mobsters, family secrets and a traitor in their ranks to deal with before Linc and Allie can deal with their own relationship.
The romance is a bit less convincing than the mystery, since it is already established prior to the start of the story, and even show more having noticed it in the earlier books in the series, it was never a focus in those books. And Linc’s ability to accept a LOT of revelations about Allie and her past as they come up is nothing short of amazing. But this is only a minor quibble, and I enjoyed the story immensely.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. show less

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I love the Blue Justice series and the St. John family.
However, this story was not up to par. The premise was hard to believe and the chemistry between Linc and Allie was non existent.
The background stories of Allie's past and Daria's family drama were interesting but were used in a haphazard manner. By the time the book ended I was only rooting for Linc. This character deserved a better book and a better romance.

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. This thriller is the latest in the Blue Justice Series and it started off with a bang and did not disappoint throughout! I immediately fell in love with the main characters and their relationship.
Book Summary:
FBI Special Agent Lincoln St. John is living his own personal nightmare. When the woman he loves, Allison Radcliffe, is killed, he devotes himself to tracking down the killers and making them pay for their crimes. He expected it to be a challenge. What he never expected was to find Allison very much alive shortly after her "murder."
As his anger and hurt mix with relief, Linc isn't sure how he's supposed to feel. One thing he does know for sure: he and Allison will have to work together to stop a killer before she dies a second show more time--this time for good.
I think what got me first interested in the book were the main characters' names: Allie and Linc. I absolutely love Ms. Eason's creativity with Linc's name and I've always loved the name Allie. Their personalities also drew me in, with Linc's fierce and protective personality as well as Allie's soft but impulsive disposition.
Eason's writing style isn't smooth like most authors' styles I've read. It isn't choppy either. It's a perfect balance of speedy and high-paced when the plot requires, but slow and almost lyrical when a touching moment or whatever occurs. Personally, I really loved that and found it to suit really well in this particular book! She also has a unique touch in her books where I can never guess where the plot is going to go, and that proved to be true in Vow of Justice too. The plot was very well developed and progressed in the right way. I did end up guessing who the villain was though.
Although I normally adore Lynette Eason's books, I definitely wasn't expecting Vow of Justice to draw me in the way it did! Very hard to put down and definitely a must-read. Eason's best one yet, in my opinion! show less

This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers. If you have been following this series this is Linc St. John’s, and if not don’t hesitate to jump in, yes, it can stand alone! I have read all of this series, and this one sure doesn’t disappoint, full of action and surprises come out of nowhere, there are so much going on I kept being surprised.
Life for some has very little value and Allison and Lincoln, FBI Special Agents, are really in for enough work for a life time, that is if they make it to the end.
I love the way this author’s mind works, and she has me riveted and page-turning for answers, and most I never saw coming, but you sure won’t get bored,
I enjoyed the epilogue, and the teaser of a new book coming, and yes I’m ready for more!
I received this book through Net show more Galley and the Publisher Revel, and was not required to give a positive review. show less

Lynette Eason takes us on a wild ride with this finale to the Blue Justice series. Each book in this series focused on one of the St. John siblings. In this book Linc gets his story. In this story he at first believes that Alison has died and he vows to find her murderer. He does not know that she is indeed alive and has to stay "dead" to protect the people she cares about. Of course he is irritated with her at first but it soon comes a battle of trying to keep her alive. She comes close to being murdered for real many times. There are more than one evil men in this story. There was one I suspected early on but I did not know his motives until the very end and I did not know the extent of his evil ways that he was going to manifest. show more This book will keep you up late reading but all Lynette Eason books tend to do that. You won't regret reading this one. I suggest you read the others in the series. Thanks to Revell and LibraryThing for providing me an ARC of this book to read. This book is due for release on August 6, 2019. show less
