OMG, such an horrible mess of a story! Everything seems to happen by random chance, as most of the story is driven by the chaotic neutral Bernese Mountain Dog that pops up three times. Actually, I almost gave the story two stars simply because of the artist's wonderful rendering of the dog. But then I remembered all the godawful puns. So many, many, many, bad, bad, bad puns!

This is the worst picture book my wife and I read in our pencil-themed reading project, and it has killed the project. No more pencil books! Perfect by Max Amato is the only one really worth reading.
