The timeline gets very wound up around itself near the beginning, though it smooths out later. Again, it's a very small slice of a not very large story; various information starts piling up, though it's not really connecting (or at least, not making sense) yet. The bit in the back about Richmond was interesting, particularly since I went to university there for several years.
