Imadoki!, Vol. 1: Dandelion

Tanpopo Yamazaki is an alternate transfer student at the elite Meio Academy. The day before she is to start she and her pet fox (what a cutie!) decide to check out her new school. There is thrilled to meet a boy she dubs "Scoop" as he is there planting a flower. But, the next day when she sees Scoop, who is actually the son of the school founder, he ignores her, sealing her fate as an outcast among the ultra-snotty students of the academy. Tanpopo doesn't care about bullies and develops a plan to integrate herself in the student body and to become friends with Koki (Scoop) whether she's wanted or not!

This was a very sweet, cute manga with very good drawings. Koki is probably one of the most pleasant looking manga characters I think I've show more ever seen, love the eyes! Tanpopo's fox is very sweet as well. Although Tanpopo's overly perky attitude could be a bit overwhelming, it is still enjoyable to see how she reacts and like Koki, it kind of makes you want to roll your eyes in a fond way.

This would be a great manga for teen shojo fans and also a really good starter manga for girls that think they might like it. show less

Tanpopo is a new student and she meets Koki. Their friendship gets off to a very rocky start and Tanpopo is the school outcast but soon she begins to win Koki over.
This manga is funny but a little confusing. Everything will most likely be revealed in the next volumes but for now volume 1 is crazy, interesting, but a tiny bit sinister in a way. Sometimes in manga it's hard to find drawings where the characters don't look lifeless but in Imadoki! they have great expression.
