Weird little tale -- what I loved: the vibrant queerness, the polyamory, the family connections, the love, the unusual magic that nonetheless resonates very powerfully. I also really liked that it was a novella -- it was just the right size for the story it told.
Really immersive London-based urban fantasy, highly seasonably appropriate for a mid-winter read, and all about love in it's many varied shapes. I missed my stop on the tube *twice* while I was reading this, I was so absorbed in this contemporary fairytale urban fantasy.
Oh my goodness, what a delightful story! Magic and queerness and polyamory all matter-of-fact and a wholly different kind of love story and really, go read it. Go go go!
