This was a fun book (new-agey magic) and a touching one. ( )

Just not my type of book I guess. It just was hard to listen too.

I loved how this story drew me to all the characters. I loved Grace, Mama G, Daisy, Sarah and Trav. I love that Sarah can tell what book a person needs at a certain time in their lives. I laughed and cried. I loved that Grace finds what she needs in her life. I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review that I gave of my own free will. ( )

While I'd love to say this is engaging, unique and intriguing its anything but. Familiar with authors who focus on small town stories such as Richard Russo, Leif Enger and Larry McMurtry Ms. Hawkins pales in comparison. With such high ratings it's obvious I'm one of few who feel this way, though we're all drawn to different styles and this story simply doesn't cut it. DNF. ( )
