Without too many spoilers, Evalle has come a long way from being alone in an unfriendly world to having unconditional love and support from a plethora of friends she has made into family. It feels so good when they all stand behind and for her. Feenix is simply a joy.
Evalle gets knocked down a lot. Her enemies are horrid and treat her that way. It’s bloody and battle filled. But like a Phoenix, she rises.

Fantastic series. Not lightweight but with bits of humor in a few character traits. Mostly deep and dark world building with good winning the battles but evil continuing to war. ( )
