Primrose tries to wake Eglantine up but she doesn't. then finally does and primrose asks about her dream and Eglantine said that it was the most wonderful she ever had. So Primrose was confused so she said that she was saying things about her dad so Eglantine started to get confused. So she went out of the hollow and went to see soren. so she asks where he is and sorens friend martin says he is out on a mission. So Eglantine goes back to the hollow and sees Ginger so she says hi to Eglantine. Primrose hears this conversation and decides to see what is going on. Then Ginger starts talking about making a list about how many missions his brother has left her out of. Then Eglantine agrees with this idea and says she will start doing it tomorrow.

my opinion for this book is that is cool with the battles and the different kids of owls that i didn't know about also it had magic. it is also cool because it has alot of mystery and excitement. what i don't like about this book is that people die in these battles. also it has people in this book that act like they are friends but they are not. it also has some things in it that scares me to the point of shaking.

Soren's sister Eglantine is dreaming of her mother, but the dreams are leading her down a path that could cause havoc. Soren is also having strange dreams, but they're different, they seem to be of the future.

It's an interesting series, I like the owls and their character, some obviousnesses but you expect this in this level of a read. ( )

Read this book with the kids and enjoyed it for the most part. But, like the last book, I felt like the end wound up being rather abrupt and truncated - almost like an entire chapter was chopped out before publiscation. That, along with a couple of events that made no logical sense storywise, accounts for the three stars rather the four or five I would have liked to have given it. ( )

this book is about for owls and a barn owls sister named Eglatine. After Eglatine helped Ginger another barn owl she was woken up by her friend primrose because she was shaking in fear, but Eglatine said she was having a nice dream. Elgatine missed her mother and father, she saw what she got as food it was her favorite, centipedes. Elgatine thought it was a sign she knew her mother was still alive. later she took ginger with her to the beaks to see her mom and she found her there, or she thought. When Elgatine saw her mother she thought something was off and her mother kept calling her darling instead of
Eggie. Later on When she visited her mother for the fifth time Elgatine saw primrose there and found out that it wasn't her mother it was Nyra one of the pure ones. When Elgatine and Primrose where captured Elgatine had a plan and flew off with Nyra's egg and when soren and the others found her they told her to let go of the eggs and Eglatine dropped it and it shattered. Nyra wanted to kill Eglatine then. ( )

Guardians of Gahoole "The Shattering" was an interesting book. It was about how Egglintine (an owl) was shattered. Shattered is when an owl has no more feeling for anything important and wonders if it even is important. She was being controlled to get information from the great Gahoole tree and give it to the enemy called the pure ones. Then her friends saved her and brought her back to normal.
