I'm giving this book a solid 3.5.

Rosalina Maria killed her first man when she was 8. Her father sent her off to be trained as a killer and so she could lead her father's Mexican Mafia faction after he died. When she comes home to lead, she starts running into a lot of problems as a woman in what is very much a man's world.

Anthony de Los Santos was sent by his father to talk to Rosalina about taking over her family's businesses. When she tells him it's not about to happen, they have to start negotiating.

Michelle Brown took a chance with having a female being the head of a Mafia family. That's not how the story usually works. I applaud that choice. It's nice to see a strong woman in charge. Tony doesn't appear to be submissive to her, show more but seems like he is her equal. I'm not sure exactly, because he doesn't feel as fully fleshed out to me as Rosalina is.

This is a debut novel and I think overall it's pretty good. There are some flow issues, but I think that will straighten itself out in later books as the writer gets more experience under her belt. It's worth a read.

I'm going to keep this brief as without giving away the whole plot it's hard to go into details here.
"Pretty Killer" is a short read that packs a punch.
I did enjoy this but it was really in my opinion just to brief overall to give the subject matter its due.
That really is what let this down how short it was.
So Rosalina is Pretty Killer a girl shaped by her past and life experiences.
Her background has helped mould her into the woman she is today.
Shes also the new heir of the Mexican Mafia after her fathers passing.
A job she has been in training for at least half her life.
In contrast, when she meets Anthony De Los Santos, a major member of the Cuban mafia and her future all rolled show more into one sparks fly.
Also, A softer side beneath her harsh exterior is slowly revealed as Tony manages to burrow beneath Rosalinas skin.
I really enjoyed the dynamic between this pair it will be interesting to see where it goes.
So I found this to be an enjoyable read that kept me entertained.
This is quick, low angst insta-love with no OW action.
and just so you're aware this does end on a big cliffhanger.
Thank You to the Author for providing me with an ARC of (Pretty Killer (La Asesina Bonita, #1) ) of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
