Baby Blues: This is Going to be Tougher Than We Thought

This is a very good strip. It debuts with the birth of Zoe, Darryl and Wanda's first baby, and centers around the joys and mishaps (mostly mishaps) of parenthood. As will become evident later, the strip purports to age the characters at a real time rate, a la "For Better or For Worse" (although time in the strip actually moves at about half time. This is not the equal of Lynn Johnston's wonderful strip - it is far less ambitious, rarely venturing into life's more serious sideroads, the cast is far more limited, and the aging process is less subtly handled. But "Baby Blues" is consistently funny, often charming,and occasionally snort-your-milk-out-your-nose hilarious. It'll do.

This is the first Baby Blues book, which starts with the first comic strip, right after Zoe was born. It's a wonderful take on parenting and laugh-out-loud funny.
