A cute book that focuses on all different sorts of patterns. It leaves things opened ended enough for kids to find a lot of the patterning themselves while still showing examples. It also has a section at the back that talks about different sorts of patterns and suggested activities.
Recommended in the PLA Early Literacy Calendar (March 2025)

A good choice to read one-on-one, taking time with the questions and prompts ("What comes next?") and observing the patterns. There are some sound words, too ("boom, ba-ba, boom," "shzzzz").
There are patterns all around us. This book shows that there are so many places to find patterns. Patterns can be found inside or outside. Patterns can also be made with different shapes and even days of the week. This would be a great story to read to students when introducing patterns. It can be very helpful when showing students how to determine what is and what is not a pattern.
