Smart and Sexy

In typical Jill Shalvis style, we have a tough as nails alpha hero and a slightly ditzy woman in trouble. The action is fast-paced and heart pounding and the resolution sweet and satisfying.

If you're new to Jill Shalvis, I would NOT recommend this as your introduction. While it is filled with sexy, mouth watering responses, I found Noah to be a little too "base." Taking advantage of an exhausted, frightened woman bothers me. The way he imposed himself on her bothered me, in a way none of Jill's other alphas has. In her other novels, the heroines invited the attention. In this one, the heroine did not. She shied away from it.

With that being said, I still enjoyed the story, almost as much as her others. I'm a die-hard fan and will keep show more reading, but this one is not my favorite. show less

I'm not loving this, it's above meh. There seems to be a bit of story and a lot of groping, rubbing and ridiculous running for you lives without a damn answer to why. Really who would run from bullets without and explanation for this chick ????? Not one of her better books. Now, do I DNF it and try another of do I continue with meh+ ? I DNF, my time is worth more than this. No more meh sandwiches

Love the travel in this book and why they have to go to so many places.
SO many mysteries as where things are hidden, love it! Like this series, only a few books in it and about the 3 guys life's.

Couldn't really get into the plot of this one. Female MC was so secretive! And without reason! And Male MC had pretty much figured it out anyway!

Kept trying to get into it, since I'd waited for it so long from the library...but just couldn't do it. The whole bad-guys-are-trying-to-kill-us-and-we-don't trust-each-other-at-all-but-hey!-I'm-hot-and-you're-hot-so-let's-spend-the-night-together bit just became waaaay too much to swallow.

Ugh. Hopefully a trip back to Lucky Harbor will be more the thing.

This book was actually a little disappointing! The first time Noah was touching Bailey intimately, she was half-asleep, having first fallen asleep in the shower! That was a little icky, to tell the truth! And that tainted the whole love-story for me.

This book is TSTL! Come-on! They're shooting at you and you stop to kiss? That happens all the time doesn't it!

Sorry, I just couldn't keep going. I expected more from this Author. (one of her earlier books?)
