Quite an interesting story of mystery and murder. Angel is a retribution specialist, the law doesn't always punish people but she can. Sometimes this just involves a warning but sometimes she can get permission to kill. Now her mother is kidnapped and there's a dead body and a detective who is making her think again about using a robot for sex.

It's J D Robb Light. Fans of Eve and Rourke will possibly find this a fun read, I did.
Abandoned early- did not finish. Might be a mood thing, but it wasn't working for me. I was poking at it off and on.

It's medium near future SF, but it felt really arch and selfconcious.
