My interest in this book was sparked by a teaser book from Waldenbooks. The teaser had four excerpts from Harlequin's new Everlasting Love line of books, and the one from Fall from Grace made me wonder what happened to the characters.

I knew from the excerpt that Jack and Annie's marriage had broken apart, but I wanted to know why and how much of their love remained. Thus intrigued, I bought and read the book, and I now mark this one a 'keeper' as many romance fans would say.

The story alternates between the past and the present. In the present, Jack and Anne are divorced, and Jack, a surgeon, has just had a stroke. Annie is a nurse working at the same hospital as her ex-husband. The past is revealed bit by bit, starting with the couple's show more meeting and continuing through their early marriage. show less
