SORRY, PRINTSESSA, FREEDOM ISN'T IN THE CARDS FOR YOU. YOU'RE MINE NOW. I came for revenge. The Tacone Family wiped out the Chicago mafiya. My bratva. My family. So I captured their little sister. Now that I have her, I don't want to let her go. I'd rather keep her forever-my captive bride. They'll pay a dowry instead of ransom. At the end of the day, the girl and the fortune will be mine. Because I'll never relinquish their queen of clubs. No library descriptions found. |

Vlad has it out for the Taccones because they killed his guys. He's decided that he's going to get them back the best way possible, he's going to take their baby sister and hold her for ransom. Better yet, he'll make them pay her ransom as a dowry, and that way he'll get his revenge on them for killing his men.
Alessia is the only daughter of a mafia family with 5 brothers. You know that she is ridiculously over-protected. But she's done everything she can to try to be as independent of her family as possible, which for reasons isn't is as independent as she would like. She knows that at some point in the near future, she's going to end up married to someone they choose for her, instead of a love match, and she's resigned to it. I think that she is a sweet and loving person, who just wants to make everything better, and she just does in general. She's awfully feisty though, and I love that spark in her.
I liked Vlad from the beginning. I don't think he was anywhere near as bad as he thought he was. I think he had a really soft core, deep down. He was a pretty good man, even though he had been pulled into some pretty shitty places. Like I said, I really liked him. ( )
