This was a well-plotted, fast-paced police procedural set in St Andrews, Scotland. I intend to read the rest of this series.
It was a bit ho-hum. The story was okay but wasn’t character driven. The characters were under developed but the setting was great. I’ll probably read the next one.

Not esp. edgy, but interesting plot and characters. The MC is female with a few black marks against her, hence her departure from Glasgow to a small town to start over. The first installment in a series. I think I'll look for the next book.

Enjoyable diversion
