Aiden's Charity

I read this book when it was first released by Ellora's Cave. By then, Lora Leigh had already released two other Breed books. I must say though that Aiden's Charity is one of my favorites. I just picked it up again (because I changed e-readers and couldn't get my original copy to transfer) and I'm glad I did. I spent the past couple of nights re-reading it. I enjoyed it just as much this time around as I did all those years ago. It's erotic romance at its finest.

I forgot to add this book when I actually read it, so I'm unsure of the specific date I finished. I liked the book, I like the female human fighting the mating so hard, convincing herself it's just drugs making her feel that way. I like learning a bit more about the Wolf Breeds. I like Aiden's character too. I'm looking forward to learning more about the Coyote Breeds mating.

My View:
Although this book has been out for a while I added it to the book of reviews because Lora Leigh's show more new novel, Coyote's Mate, lead characters were first introduced in this story. Although each of Leigh's Breed and Wolf series can be read alone, it would be helpful for readers to get a handle on the series first. Aiden's Charity is a quick read and worth the extra time to get to know the other characters in the series.

Besides that this is a wonderful book. The characters are strongly written, the sex scenes are hot and the author sets the scene well. The love story between Aiden and Charity starts six years before when Charity saves his life. The only problem is Aiden isn't all that happy about the way Charity goes about it and swears to exact revenge against the young doctor. When they meet each other again Aiden has to come to terms with what he felt was Charity's betrayal at the same time save her life. The story is a must for anyone who is a fan of Leigh's Breed and Wolf series. show less

Finally got a hold of a copy of this book. It's an Ellora's Cave title and as such, likes to use the word "cunt" a lot. Not my favorite word and it doesn't make it spicy for me to have the author use it. I did get more of the background on the Breed world that I was hoping for and it did give the lead in to Del Ray and Anya's story.

Not near as exciting as Jacob's Faith was or the majority of the other Breeds books. Good story too and I liked Charity. Aiden was kind of a jackass most of the time and I think the plot was a little bit repetitive for me this time.

This is one of the more emotional books in this series. My sympathy went out to Charity and all she had survived in the Labs. She is very caring and compassionate and very much in love with Aiden. She is also stubborn and a well trained fighter which will complement Aiden very well. There is a lot going on in this story and it is hard not to give things away when writing a review. It was nice to read about Wolfe and Hope as well as Jacob and Faith. There are additional plot devices added to the ongoing story. I have to wonder what happened to Honor. I am not sure she was mentioned in any of the other books. I will have to keep an eye out for her. This is a quick read it only took me a day to finish it which is unusual for me.

This is the show more introduction of the Coyote Breeds that broke away from the Council and formed their own pack. DelRey and Anya are both mentioned in this story. At this point the Coyote haven't settled into their own home base yet. They are still moving around staying ahead of the Council. There is also the hint that Charity may hold the key to being able to let the wolves conceive which at this point hasn't happened yet. We also get to know doctor Nikki Armani. She is the doctor for the Wolf Breeds. show less

Gotta say I did not love Aiden for most of the book he was a first class jerk! I had trouble loving this book because of his attitude toward his mate. But is was still a nice addition to the series.
