Still humorous with its parallels between the drama of everyday family life and the cut-throat world of espionage and assassinations. The anxiety you feel when your daughter gets wait-listed for a new school -- where you hope she'll do well, be happy, and make friends -- is amplified when your job, lives, and the fate of your nation could depend on it. And what if that tiger mother has an actual bodycount under her apron?
The pace did seem a little slow this time around as the creator spent a lot of time introducing characters and getting all the pieces in place to play out in future volumes. A self-contained side story is tucked into the rear of the book shows how much faster and more fun everything could be once we're past this pilot arc.

While the first volume focuses on Twilight and him trying to form his family for the mission, Volume 2 focuses more on Anya and her role in current mission. She needs to become a school scholar (an impossible mission, or so it seems) and navigate the role of student. I thought this volume would annoy me since Anya is the main focus for this and I don't typically like kids in media. I was so wrong.
Anya is so cute and I love the interactions she has with everyone. It's adorable to see Loid (Twilight) being a dad without even realizing it, and seeing Yor's maternal side come out and play. We don't actually see very much of Yor in this, but with the way this ended she's going to have a much bigger role in the third volume.
I read this in one show more sitting, which isn't a big feat, but I was surprised at how much I did not want this to end. I really wish I already had volume 3 in my hands because I need to continue this and I am ready to know what happens.
Overall, I am addicted to this series and will definitely be picking the next one up as soon as I can.

I can't lie, Spy x Family is definitely one of my fave mangas series. It's cute, fun and an absolute delight. If this manga becomes an anime, I am totally watching every second of the show. It's great!
Anya's adorable nature, and her fake family and real friends going along with her goofy ideas is a real treat. Especially seeing the family grow and protect each other, and get into so much mischief. Plus, the dynamics of the school kids was fun and interesting to see. I think this series is gonna get so much more wild and amusing. The spy concept and missions mixed with the comedy is just killer good (pun intended).
This book is seriously fun and is turning to be one of the best manga series I've ever picked up. I highly recommend grabbing show more it for some action, laughs and chuckles.
Five out of five stars.

I was a little less impressed by this volume simply because I didn't enjoy reading 6-year-olds acting and being treated like college students. (Things like their actual education, layout of their classrooms, walking themselves from class to class, no supervision, etc.) Anya still felt consistent with her age and personality for the most part but yeah it was just kind of weird with the other characters. I also want to see more done with Yor being an assassin. Perhaps things will get interesting with her brother Yuri too.
Volume 2 gives us the start of the school term, and the drama ensues for Anya. Poor Loid is depending on her, and she's just a struggling student. I like the cliffhanger at the end of the book, which makes me want to read the next installment immediately - effective.
What I truly enjoy is that the art enhances the humour of the story.
Also kids man. I can understand why people don't enjoy reading about them but to me it's one of those overly-specific-things I like. Ania is hilarious.
