Shoutout to my 11-year-old brother for making me read this book. We made a deal that if he finally started the series I bought for him last year that he never even looked at (because he is too busy reading various Diary of a Wimpy Kid books over and over again), I would read The Deep End. It was nostalgic and fun, and I got to spend an hour reading with him before bedtime. I noticed as I was reading that certain things felt familiar, and soon realized it was because my brother had talked about them incessantly as he was reading this book for the umpteenth time. I finished this puppy in one sitting, and now he is stuck spending more quality time reading with me. And now when he quizzes me about my favorite parts of this series from when show more I was a kid and there were only like 5 books out, I might be able to come up with an actual answer. It’s a win for me, folks! show less
Still one of the best middle-grade book series out there today! The newest adventure has vibes very similar to book #9, "The Long Haul", but has enough fresh twists and takes that makes it a great addition to the series. This one also has a "happier" family ending than "Long Haul" which is nice to see. Dang, I love the Heffley family. :,)
Greg Heffley's latest misadventure in The Deep End takes the family on a camping road trip—until rising waters and an RV park gone wrong turn vacation into chaos. Packed with Kinney's signature cartoons and witty journal-style narrative, this installment delivers laughs, relatable sibling drama, and sticky situations. A must-read for fans and perfect for middle‑grade reluctant readers.
Sowieso leuke serie qua boeken.
n The Deep End, book 15 of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series from #1 international bestselling author Jeff Kinney, Greg Heffley and his family hit the road for a cross-country camping trip, ready for the adventure of a lifetime. But their plans hit a major snag, and they find themselves stranded at an RV park that's not exactly a summertime paradise. Things only get worse for the Heffleys when the skies open up and the water starts to rise, making them wonder if they can save their vacation—or if they're already in too deep.
This is my favorite wimpy kid book because it is different from the normal books. It's about Greg and his family going on a road trip and things go wrong. The bridge out of the place they are staying is broken by some thunder and everybody is clearing the stores of food so they have to find a way out.
Ended faster than I wanted it to.
