"False Witness" could easily be a "Law and Order" episode, complete with "ripped from the headlines" thinly disguised celebrity victim. I'm not saying that's a flaw, on the contrary, if you love "Law and Order" you''ll love "False Witness".

It's rich in period detail (which wouldn't have been considered "period detail" when it came out), creating a great illustration of life in 1980s NYC.

As for the motives of the killer, and the controversial issue at hand, I could rant for hours.
A beautiful talk show host is brutally attacked and injured in her apartment. This book is about the shocking accusation of who did it. I enjoyed the twists and turns of a very interesting plot and that justice was meted out in an unusual way. I give this book an A+!
6/10
I was expecting some twists at the end, but not the ones that I got. The story moved right along but even with the backgrounds of the characters filled in, I didn't understand some of their actions and motivations.
excellent though filled with feminist views
