A gentle attempt to use a story to teach about life in the forest. Not as old-fashioned as [a:Thornton W. Burgess|5732|Thornton W. Burgess|https://s.gr-assets.com/assets/nophoto/user/m_50x66-82093808bca726cb3249a493fbd3bd0f.png] but almost as twee. Very pretty pictures. Not bad, and if I get a chance I will read other Mousekin stories, but I don't blame those readers who don't like it, and there are plenty of other choices on the theme.
