I absolutely adore Nathan Pyle’s Stranger Planet. This is the second volume of the ‘Strange Planet’ series, sadly I haven’t managed to find the first book in the UK. I’ll keep looking.

His wonderful aliens speak to me in a way that other comic strips do not. Their world view of cats and parenthood in particular are very deeply felt. Love it. I wish for there to be many more books in the series. Xx
The second collection of Strange Planet comics, featuring aliens who experience all the activities of normal human lives, but describe them in terms that are literally accurate, but hilariously strange. (Example: they address the problem of a barking dog by observing "We must convince the creature to yell at fewer things.") In this volume, we see them experiencing holidays, pets, food, children, and music. As with the first installment, it's all very charming and laugh-out-loud funny and even a little bit philosophical.

Another relatably entertaining set of comics from Nathan W. Pyle. Somehow they don't work quite as well all joined together in a book as when you read them singularly online, I guess because you are giving each individual comic less overall attention. I think Pyle's work is always great.
This content provided amusement

A fun read that doesn't feel as inspired as earlier comics in the series. Also, given the amount of content Nathan Pyle has created, it was a little disappointing to see repetition of frames in this book, with single panels used as section headers then repeated several pages later as part of a full-page strip.

Still good for a chuckle
I suspect this is the sort of book that you're either going to love, or you're going to look at it, shake your head in bewilderment and put back down. I fall in the former camp. Its silly but still smart and charming and very enjoyable.
I didn't laugh out loud as much as I did in the first volume, but it was still very enjoyable. I love the creativity and simplicity throughout and how easy it is to follow and relate to.
Another quick and humorous read. This time with more irratic creatures, sustenance, and science. The literal language continues to entertain as well as introduce the reader to a new way of observing the world around them. It will be hard to not speak in the vernacular of the aliens after reading this series. A great way to spend a lunch break.
