Love this book! Since I intend to teach Kindergarten, I'm assuming that this is going to be an issue that I run into on the regular. It's a great, funny book to read to kids!
My tooth is about to fall out is a really cute book, on a kindergarten through 1st grade level. The book is about a little girl who has a loose tooth. She doesnt want the tooth to fall our while she is playing and especially while she eating. While she was eating her tooth fell out and it was in her bowl. That night she puts her tooth under her pillow and hope that the tooth fairy comes. She also talks about her new big tooth. This is a really cute book and students love to read it. They can relate because most first grade students will be loosing teeth. The pictures are also really cute. I enjoyed reading this book.
This is a good book to read to children in the lower grade levels. You could possibly get a few different books about teeth and do a unit on teeth or read one every time someone loses a tooth. She is worried about her tooth and if it will fall out while he is playing. It ends up falling out at dinner into her spaghetti and meatballs. She puts her tooth under her pillow for the tooth fairy to find. This book is a realistic fiction.
Great story of a little girl with a tooth that is about to fall out! Simple words for children who are learning to read. Illustrations are fun and enjoyable.
This book is about a young girl who has a loose tooth. Many first graders are beginning to lose their teeth, so this book would fit well with them. The story uses rhyming words to describe the tooth falling out process. She hopes it doesnt fall out at school, or while swimming, or while eating spaghetti. But it pops right out. The tooth fairy visits the girl and leaves some money. The book then describes what happens when the tooth is gone, a new one grows in. The pictures in this book were very funny and reading it out loud is very fun.
This is a realistic fiction book because even though it is made up, the events are realistic and could really happen. The illustrations are hand-drawn pictures that are colored using water-color paints. It is about a little girl who is about to lose her first tooth. She is imagining what it is going to be like when she loses all her baby teeth and her big teeth grow in. Then she talks about how funny the hole feels when she first loses the tooth. This book is cute and is what any typical kid would be like before they lose their first tooth. It would be good to read this book between 1st and 3rd grade since it talks about loosing teeth. You could have your students draw what they would look like with missing teeth. The reading level is show more first grade. The curricular connections are: losing teeth, new teeth growing in, childhood, and growing up. show less
Story about a little girl loosing her first tooth. Very informative but still fun!
