A great story with strong characters and lots of humor interwoven that kept me laughing out loud...including the most epic charge into battle....ever?I'm looking forward to Familiar Beginnings.

Also, a fantastic narration by Greg Boudreaux. ( )

[3.5] Alice Winters’s iconic comedic, snarky, and playful banter strikes again! A fun read when you’re looking for some laughs ( )

One thing I need to credit this author for is their characters and the world building they achieve. Again the characters are strong and interesting and their interactions are entertaining. The storyline in this book is also grabbing and I definitely want to read more. However, I've come to the conclusion that I'll need to spread any books written by this author out over a period of time. The humour becomes grating to me if I read them in too short a time period. I like humour in a story, don't get me wrong. But when it seems that almost every interaction must have some humorous element it starts to feel forced and unnatural... of course, this is just my opinion, lol. I'm definitely going to keep reading these books. I'll just spread them out over time rather than binge. ( )
