SOUL SEEKER follows the lives of Benjamin Poe, a dedicated firefighter on death row, and Crighton, an underworld demon ranked as Lucifer's number one soul catcher. These characters come face to face in a battle of wills over Poe's son when his involvement in multiple murders is called into question. But if it's true and Gabriel Poe is as wicked as he seems, is he deserving of Hell? Is Crighton truly the villain in this twisted scenario? In part two of this book, readers are sure to become sympathetic to Crighton's plight when his true nature is explored and his heart is tested in a relationship with an angel—the same angel he has been sent to capture for Lucifer's perverted enjoyment. Ultimately, this story blurs the line between evil show more and good, and illustrates how even a demon's soul is capable of redemption...or is it? show less
If you enjoy fantasy, this book if for you as it says: "Angels and demons were created in the universe to balance the scale between good and evil."

While I could fill a page with names in this book, there's just a few that are important. Ariel is the beautiful angel. Crighton is someone you never want to meet. He's one that kills for fun and you could call him the devil, demonic creature, soul theft or "The Reaper." And then there's Liz, a human with superior intelligence. Can you imagine these characters together? And there's more that really makes the story interesting.

The author is incredibly talented to put a story like this together with her knowledge of the Bible and the world beyond ours. It makes you think about how fantasy show more relates to reality. Is it for everyone? No. I would say it's a good if you enjoy this type of genre. show less

This astonishing story of skewed emotions and an over-reaching fate in Poe's tragic life is only one part of McFarren's artfully conceived universe. Her gifts as a wordsmith and yarn spinner are clearly shown as this novel evolves. The crisscrossing of storylines is one of McFarren's great strengths, which she amply demonstrates here, weaving a tapestry that keeps the reader guessing until the show more book's final pages. With layered prose and grand panoramas, Soul Seeker brings a dark world to vivid life, and fantasy fans will welcome this latest work by an imaginative author. show less
