From the first page of Dr. Shefali's book, I found myself nodding along, tearing up frequently, and taking copious notes. Her words are the balm my soul didn't know it needed. To understand, at long last, that so much of what I believe and so much of what I do isn't my true, authentic self but rather a conditioned response... well, I felt like I could finally take a breath after living an eternity underwater.

As much as I adored the book's message, I found it repetitive at times and Dr. Shefali's style overly wordy. As a result, my eyes glazed over occasionally, and I found myself losing focus and needing to reread entire passages. Still, I appreciated the profound wisdom Dr. Shefali shares and the permission she gives us all to listen show more to our own inner wise woman. show less
