Naruto, Volume 02: The Worst Client

Introducing Zabuza! The Demon of the Hidden Mist is up against rank amateurs. What a surreal sight this is, after seeing what Naruto and Sasuke eventually become. What? This little moron and this budding psychopath will become two of the most powerful ninjas in the world?

Definitely not yet. It really helps that this series sets up very interesting and extremely impressive villains like Zabuza to hopelessly outmatch our heroes.

Volume 2 continues the development of characters introduced in Volume 1 while beginning the Land of Waves story arc. The volume also showcases both Naruto's and Sasuke's fight and tactical abilities as they first encounter Zabuza. Kakashi's abilities with the Sharingan are also introduced for the first time.

The volume moves briskly along, with noticeable improvements in the art work and detailing. The dialog has also improved a bit from the previous volume as Kishimoto has continued to flesh out his characters into individuals.

Interesting volume. Naruto is growing up and isn't as annoying anymore. Its nice to see the characters' transition.

Naruto who thinks great of himself realizes he isn't brave at crucial moments. Disappointed with himself, he vows to be bold from then on and eventually proves that he is fit to be a ninja.

Sasuke who looks down upon others and thinks they get in his way listens to Naruto's plan in the end.

Would have been nice to see some improvement in Sakura as well.

Overall a fun read.

More sophisticated than the first issue. The characters are still entertaining and likeable and the morals remain heavyhanded, but the plot becomes more complex.. While it is easier to identify individual characters, I found some of the fight scenes confusing .

a boy, who is training to become a ninja, finds out that his body is the holding vessel of a demon known as the 7 Tailed Fox. Naruto is a spoiled brat and I feel no sympathy for him at all.

Quite enjoyed this one; great evil villain and great battle tide turning, blah blah. More.

Still funny. Wonder what happens next =)
