Miranda Beverly-Whittemore was born in Los Angeles, California in 1976. She grew up in Senegal, Vermont, and Oregon. In 1998, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College. Her novels, include:The Effects of Light and Set Me Free. Her latest novel, Bittersweet, made the New York Times bestseller list in 2014.
